The Computer Science Guild has always been the source of both acedemic and extra-curricular activities, promoting camaraderie and growth within their ranks. Whether it involves the latest projects or the most engaging of community development, UP CSG will be there.
In 2007, the Center for Higher Education (CHED) recognized UP Cebu as a National Center of Excellence (COE) on Information Technology. Since then, it has maintained it's status as a model of service and excellence to the community and beyond. UP CSG is proud to be a big part of that.
Having been recoognized as the flagship program of the UP Cebu College, and garnering the status of a National Center of Excellence (COE) since 2007, the BS Computer Science program does not lack for quality education. Along with the world-renowned UP education, we are a force to watch out for.
The UP Computer Science Guild is the official organization for the undergraduate students of University of the Philippines - Cebu College taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Ever since the conception of the BS Computer Science Program in UP Cebu, the UP CSG has been at the forefront of being the organizational representation of the BS Computer Science students in the college community. Organizing different activities for the undergraduate CS students is a staple of the Computer Science Guild, ranging from the Acquaintance Party to the year-ending Computer Science Week.
When it comes to advocating the holistic aspects of students in the college, the UP CSG has never been behind the count. Consistently garnering top awards in the annual celebration of UP Cebu Intramurals, the UP CSG officers have also been in constant contact with the different Computer Science communities all over Cebu. On a side note, the UP CSG actively participates in the different activities of the UP Cebu College, having represention in the much-heralded Cookout and other events.
Time and again, the UP CSG will continue to serve the undergraduate students of the UP Cebu BS Computer Science program to the best of it's abilities. The Guild officers will make sure that the organization holds true to it's vision of service and excellence, both in academics and outside. Along with the support of the Alumni and Alumna, as well as from the faculty, UP Computer Science will continue upholding the excellence that has always been associated with being a member of the UP Computer Science Guild.
